Our Jupiter, Florida, team is seeking a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Engineering Specialist with Level III certifications for Film Radiography (RT) and Digital Radiography (DR), plus one or more of the following: Computed Radiography (CR), Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
In this role, you will provide effective and efficient NDT Quality support and oversight to the Aerojet Rocketdyne Jupiter, FL site and serve as the key NDT quality interface with the company's NDT Center of Excellence.

Working under limited general direction:
25% Serves as a technical advisor for the organization in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, equipment, and processes for NDT areas of responsibility, including identifying and applying appropriate NDT inspections for a given situation
25% Trains, mentors, and support NDT inspectors in executing effective NDT inspections to optimize program performance within approved Aerojet Rocketdyne quality management system.
20% Leads special process and pedigree audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits
10% Functions as a lead in the review of failure investigation activities to ensure root cause is identified and mitigating activities are identified and implemented
10% Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of technicians and teammates in the performance of assigned projects
10% Audits, evaluates and monitors the capability of suppliers and subcontractors
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) and at least nine (9) years of related experience in Quality/Manufacturing/NDT processes. 10+ years of related experience preferred.
Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive travel is required. Position requires responding to customer needs and may include weekend work.
Auditing experience/certification desired.
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The work environment may also require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses, goggles, face shield), foot protection (i.e. steel toed shoes, rubber boots, etc.), gloves, hard hat, shop coat or hearing protection. Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization. Depending on the location of the position, visual certification requirement may apply. The position requires the ability to travel by air or auto.
