The Landscaping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a crew primarily composed of individuals with disabilities. The Landscaping Supervisor must ensure the contracts needs are being met in addition to finishing to performing duties in a safe manner.
Essential Duties
* Ensure that all areas assigned for the day are completed up to contract standards
* Perform routine maintenance and inspect the crews and company vehicle at the end of each day
* Ensures employees adhere to company policy and breaks as directed by Project Manager
* Perform daily inspection of the crew's equipment to notice any potential equipment malfunction
* Ensure that the crew is servicing areas in a safe and productive manner while avoiding damage to other people's property
* Ensure that the crew is wearing all safety gear as required by CW Resources
* Notify Project Manager of any areas that are unsafe to weed whack or cannot be serviced for the day
* Obey and observe all traffic laws while operating CW Resources equipment
* Must be able to stay after hours or work on weekends if needed
* Perform re-servicing of failed areas
* Perform final inspection of all areas assigned to you and your crew
* Ability to complete daily paperwork for all assigned areas
* Perform weekly safety talks with employees
* Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to troubleshoot small engine repairs
* Must be able to maintain a clean driving record
* Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
* High School Degree or equivalent experience
* Supervisory herbicide spraying license
* OSHA 10-30 Certification
* DOT Certification
Preferred Knowledge
* Three (3) years of supervisor experience in a related field and managing large work crews of 25+ employees
* Five (5) years landscaping experience
* Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
* Extensive knowledge of working equipment, materials and supplies in landscaping contracts
* Knowledge of proper hazardous chemical disposal

Physical Demands
The Landscaping Supervisor position may be a physically demanding position. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The incumbent is frequently required use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls. The incumbent must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, operating medium-weight lawn care equipment. The incumbent is required to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Environmental Demands
The incumbent will be exposed to outdoor elements and may have to work in extreme heat or cold. The incumbent may be exposed to loud noises for extended periods.
Background Screening
Must submit to background check during length of employment as dictated by contract. Must be able to pass criminal and drug screening processes to meet current contract eligibility requirements that apply.
