HEICO is seeking a Benefits Administrator for an immediate full time direct hire role in Hollywood, FL (Travel is 20%).

Job Summary:

The Benefits Administrator II facilitates health insurance presentations, assists Team Members with health insurance enrollment, documentation and questions, processes health insurance related billing, handles wellness benefit programs, and assists in creating data needed for contracts and government filing.

  • Reports to: Corporate Benefits Director
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Responsibilities:

  • Handle annual health insurance enrollment and special health insurance enrollments including but not limited to creating and assembling packets for both active and COBRA participants, preparing for and presenting at enrollment meetings at various locations in the United States and act as liaison on the project with ADP.
  • Obtain and process dependent documentation, qualifying event documentation and benefit changes in ADP.
  • Assist Team Members with understanding their health insurance and guide/assist them toward claims resolution.
  • Analyze health and welfare data, investigate discrepancies and process billing on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Issue ineligible dependent notifications and monitor changes in ADP.
  • Manage disability claims process to include ensuring the appropriate HR liaison has access given/removed by carrier and provide training on the site
  • Research and respond to disability and life insurance transition of care and coverage inquiries.
  • Handle wellness benefit programs including health fairs, clinics and disseminating information to the subsidiaries under the Wellness Advantage program from the medical carrier as well as tracking and entry of Healthy Rewards for Hollywood subsidiaries into ADP.
  • Process Benefit Calculation Process reports every week in preparation for the following week's payroll.
  • Review and approve health insurance changes during Payroll Preview process each week.
  • Process Health Savings Account form updates in ADP.
  • CMS annual submission regarding creditable coverage
  • Handle health insurance verifications.
  • Participate in departmental and company activities.
  • Assist and back up Sr. Benefits Administrator.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in business administration and 1 to 3 years of experience in benefits field or 5 to 7 years of experience in human resources
  • SHRM-CP, PHR or CEBS professional designations preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of health and welfare benefit plans and applicable laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret plan documents with assistance.
  • Familiarity with ADP Vantage preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Some walking, bending, twisting and must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time
  • Travel to business units will be required
