Job Description

Job Summary
Responsible for ongoing Individual Agent management- Responsibilities include the establishment of production goals and compliance thresholds, along with the communication and ongoing enforcement of these established expectations with each assigned agent.

Essential Functions

  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
  • Accountable for driving and achieving company defined distribution channel sales goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the execution of market strategy impacting the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, production, and compliance adherence of assigned independent agent base.
  • Responsible for onboarding new agents by supporting their navigation of contracting, certification, and training requirement
  • Provides leadership for all broker training, recertification, and testing through face to face, individual, and group meetings and web based resources (virtual)
  • Administers broker testing and recertification
  • Provide monthly agent production results to leadership. Facilitate (document and execute) agent performance management in a timely manner when deficiencies occur.
  • Perform training sessions for newly appointed agents as well as refresher training sessions for existing agents as needed, working with Corporate Training resources.
  • Identify target growth geographic areas in accordance with corporate objectives.
  • Establish strong partnerships with local presence team to further penetrate and utilize community involvement. Establish strong working relationships with all functional business areas.
  • Participate in new product and business process development meetings.
  • Manage the distribution of enrollment materials, marketing material, enrollment/education meetings and administrative requirements.
  • Develop and implement business plan based on needs analysis and continually update strategy as situation changes.
  • Act as primary liaison/trouble shooter between brokers and Florida Blue corporate staff for all segment issues.
  • Manage resolution of complex account and business issues in collaboration with sales and sales support staff and other functions within Florida Blue when appropriate.
  • Manage personal and professional development.
  • Manage time, territory, budget and administrative requirements by effectively planning and carrying out plans to ensure that support activities are achieved at reasonable cost.
  • Enforce and comply with all state and regulatory requirements and corporate policies and procedures.


Qualifications

Required Work Experience
5+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Insurance sales or distribution channels experience

Required Management Experience
2+ years direct supervisory/management experience

Required Education
Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience

Additional Required Qualifications

Experience working in the health insurance industry
Experience with strong training and selling skills
Experience with independent insurance agency practices
215/240 Health and Life Insurance license
Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
Experience working with multi-functional work group
50% travel within the state of Florida

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Florida Blue policies and procedures to effectively manage and coordinate assigned contracted general agency sales and service personnel Bilingual (English/Spanish)

General Physical Demands

Annualized Salary Range: $86,200 - $140,100

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $86,200 - $107,800

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
