Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Miami, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for all test equipment in the client, maintaining work records and documentation on all test equipment, generating Certificates of Compliance/Traceability, and verifying that applicable procedures and regulations perform all work.
  • Remove or transfer units as needed by the client procedures.
  • Place new test equipment in service with the necessary documentation from Engineering.
  • Purchase replacement units or equivalent equipment with the approval of engineering.
  • Assigning E# (folders) to all new units by Engineering documentation.
  • Maintain existing E# folders for units in the client (updates, modifications, etc.).
  • Send test equipment to authorized vendors for calibration/repair as needed.
  • Notify Shop Inspectors & Shop Supervisors at all three client locations (DOR 1, DOR 2, & MIA) of units due for calibration in the upcoming month.
  • Inspect all units due to calibration and monitoring to ensure that test equipment used by the client is appropriately calibrated and certified within the time intervals specified by Engineering.
  • Maintain calibration database for all test equipment within our ERP system Quantum.
  • Ensure all client primary & secondary standards used for calibration and certification of test equipment at the client are traceable to NIST and sent to outside certifying labs periodically, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Schedule monthly on-site calibration by an external lab and ensure all calibration is done by client procedure.
  • Report test equipment found out of tolerance to the Quality Department.
  • Perform minor repairs of various test equipment.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25 - $30/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Contract to Direct.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with test equipment.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • FCC license.
  • Technical background (Ex. Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical).
  • Familiar with calibration standards on test equipment.
  • Able to follow written instructions, technical manuals, or documents.
  • Basic Electro-mechanical skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, record keeping, routine database activity, and word processing.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Able to prioritize and organize assignments.
  • Good Communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
