Job Summary

The Department of Environmental Health Sciences is currently seeking a Graduate student Program Coordinator to join the team of professionals that will conduct a pilot study among the 9/11 responders who are now residing in Florida. The candidates will need to contact the potential participants using text and email messages, consent them electronically and administer phone or electronic health questionnaires. Previous experience in community outreach research and ability to use internet-based communication platforms will be specially considered.Duties to include:

  • Supervise the Research Assistants in each task
  • Join meeting with the PI and Co-Is and provide feedback on the ongoing activities
  • Attend training on RedCap that will be administered by FIU StatConsult
  • Discuss with the PI and Co-Is the strategies for email and text message invitation to participate in the survey
  • Coordinate outreach and communication activities for enrollment including public meetings with associations of retired policeman and firefighters
  • Administer individual consent and survey by phone or RedCap based online interview

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Experience with text and email technology, database management
