Marcum LLP is seeking an experienced Tax/Accounting Services Senior to join our growing and well-established national firm in our Coral Gables location. This position requires a high-energy, experienced professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing the tax engagement work under the account's Supervisor or Manager while overseeing one or two staff accountants
• Complete moderately complex projects accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently
• Participate in staff training and tax department meetings
• Corporate senior able to prepare high level corporate returns, familiar with various state tax returns, major credits, current relief acts, and prepare provisions/Fin 48 analysis
• Provide assistance to peers and others when requested
• Create positive impression with client by exhibiting professional competence and ability

Qualifications

• 3+ years tax experience in public accounting
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting
• CPA certification or completion of the CPA exam within a year preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing/tax standards to effectively supervise staff and solve routine engagement problems
• Strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills
• Proven technical skills with Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience with accounting software, ProSystem FX engagement preferred
• Solid organization skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
