Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Coastal and Marina Design Engineer or Scientist as part of our Marina Team in West Palm Beach, Florida. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The position includes significant on-the-job training on specialized marina services.

  • Data research and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;

  • Site assessments, engineering and environmental evaluations, planning and design;

  • Preparation of technical reports, presentations, plans, specifications, and proposals;

  • Fieldwork mark be required periodically.

  • Travel (sometimes overnight) as projects require.

Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in Coastal, Ocean or Civil Engineering, or related environmental field. (required)

  • Ability to pursue professional registration/accreditation given requisite experience. (preferred)

  • Advanced degree in Coastal or Ocean engineering or closely related field. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Prior internship or work experience (2 years preferred) in engineering consulting. (required)

  • Ability and desire to learn specialized marina consulting services to complement its technical background. (required)

  • Experience in relevant coastal engineering software. (e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D, Matlab etc.). (required)

  • Prior internship experience in environmental, civil, or coastal consulting. (preferred)

  • Experience performing coastal studies and analyses. (valuable)

  • Exceptional social skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills. (required)

  • Reading and writing in a second language (preferred)

  • Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel. (required)

  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
