This position is on-site in Schaumburg, Illinois and a qualified candidate must be local to the area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide Level 2 support for the desktop environment and technical assistance and support, and resolve problems related to the use of computer hardware and software for end users
  • Responsible for the deployment of Desktop/Laptop and when applicable physical server/network equipment installation, configuration, application installation, fix, incident, and request handling
  • Analyze, resolve, respond to, and detail end-user inquiries
  • Install desktop/laptop software using approved tools
  • Fix operating system
  • Address connection issues with LAN/WAN
  • Update tickets with accurate and timely records of work performed, and resolution detail
  • Maintain and chip into a knowledge base
  • Coordinate hardware warranty repair
  • Raise to 3rd party vendors when vital
  • Responsible for raising and coordinating problem management issues
  • Perform additional tasks (end user/infra-related) when required
  • Participate in projects
Position Qualifications:
  • At least 5-9 years of work experience
  • At least 5 years of Level 2/Deskside Support experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience providing IT support services required, end-user support experience preferred
  • Solid grasp and skills in SLA, critical metric Management
  • Must have hardware repair experience for end-user devices including desktops, laptops, engineering workstations, printers, scanners, etc
  • Experienced in Active Directory user administration, OS imaging processes, ticketing, SW installation and imaging tools, automated help desk systems, tackle in the Windows desktop environment (networking, OS, Microsoft Office suite, PC hardware, printers), network and local printer installation
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows OS and related configuration.
  • Basic understanding of SCCM client tackle, Servers, Switches, Routers, and Data Center related HW and Backup technologies
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows Security (Share and NTFS permissions).
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented multi-tower and vendor environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work, and
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle and safeguard confidential information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver services on time, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and deliver a high degree of end-user happiness
  • Ability to convey technical issues and material to non-technical end users and managers
Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 05/24/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $32,000 to $79,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
